NEBRASKA is a 2 bedroom lofted home or cabin with 70mm (2-3/4″) thick wall logs and is one of our most popular models. All Premium models now include upgrades for 2024, including 4″ x 8″ glulam roof beams & floor beams, 32″ or 36″ x 80″ interior doors, and the wall height under the loft has been increased to 95″. The total footprint is 24′ x 40′,  960 sq’ which includes the 6′ covered deck area.  The main floor  interior is 24′ x 34′, with 816 sq’ plus a 280 sq’ loft over the 2 bedrooms.  The main living area has 14′ high vaulted/cathedral ceiling creating a very open living space. The loft floor joists/beams are 4″x 8″ with 1-1/8″ T&G flooring. The loft has a floor to peak height of 92″ providing plenty of headroom. Can be assembled by 3 people in 10 days or less

Tip: Mineral wool  insulation is recommended for log construction. It’s impervious to moisture with a higher R-value per inch than fiberglass, reduces noise levels & is environmentally friendly. Our solid wood walls add an additional R 4.4 and have virtually no heat or cold transfer, increasing the thermal & comfort benefits

Insulating the roof: Apply locally supplied materials to add rafters over the supplied tongue & groove roof boards. The build up depth is determined by the required R-value in the ceiling to meet local building codes. High density spray foam provides maximum benefits, highest R-value for thickness and water proof. These added rafters also increase the roof load capacity
